our 1st Annual Anniversary Recap!
The Charles River Collaboratory officially opened up to the public in Fall 2024! This fall, we celebrate our 1 year mark of assisting the public in creating new projects and promoting innovation within our space! To celebrate this milestone, we would love to share some highlights of our past year with you!

On May 10th, 2025 at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation, we held our NextGen STEMFest: Innovate and Create festival event.
Attendees heard from National Science Foundation (NSF) funded youth-led workshops on automatic farming robots (from both Massachusetts and Louisiana!), 3D printing, and more…. and learned about our absolutely fantastic exhibitors/partners who shared their excitement, joy, and innovative work in STEM!

The Charles River Collaboratory appreciates and expresses our gratitude to all the exhibitors and partners who helped make this amazing event possible.
In the past year, the Charles River Collaboratory has held multiple successful workshops, including one’s for 3D printing, laser engraving on wood and glass, and more!
During these workshops, High School Leaders got the opportunity to show members of the public how to design and create different products through guided instruction and assistance of collaboratory machines.
